Quick Patch to 0.0 (3rd Update)


Hey everyone. I am back once again with another quick patch.

For some reason the character couldn't jump while strafing and that really boggled my mind because it was working before. I was able to come up with a solution, however, so that was good. There were a few other changes that I made as well, some fixes and some updates.

Jump force was not high enough at all after I upped the gravity to remove some of that floaty feel. So I boosted that and upgraded the character step collision setup. Now the character can sense obstacles diagonally both forwards and backwards and this should help greatly with obstacle avoidance while strafing.

The updates include interiors, albeit empty interiors, for the bookstore and functionality for opening doors.

Fixes>>

  • Jump while Strafing > For some reason jumping while strafing wasn't working so I had to dig in and solve the issue. Mission success.
  • Jump Power > Jump power was increased to compensate for increased gravity

Updates>>

  • Interiors added to Bookstore > You can now enter the bookstore without getting stuck. Accidental phasing and entrapment corrected.
  • Doors > Doors now open and close based on proximity
  • Obstacle Avoidance > The obstacle avoidance setup has been updated to be much more robust, adding diagonal sensing both forwards and backwards.
